We work closely with the finest local suppliers and top quality produce to offer home-cooked food on every plate, with emphasis on simple, fresh and tasty dishes.
Most of our tables are free from reservations, so feel free to join us whenever you like and stay as long as you wish. A few tables in our conservatory and well room can be booked when dining with us Monday to Friday; weekends remain walk-ins only.
The Sun Hotel & Bar sits in the heart of our historic and vibrant city, in the shadow of Lancaster Castle.
The room was lovely, very comfortable with everything you need. Great bed - very comfortable. Breakfast was cooked to order and excellent.
Breakfast: Monday–Friday 7.30am–11am, Saturdays 8am–11am, Sundays & Bank Holidays 8.30am–11am. Lunch & Supper: Monday–Saturday 12noon–3pm and 4pm–9pm, Sundays & Bank Holidays 12noon–8pm. Bar: Monday–Thursday 11am–12midnight, Fridays & Saturdays 11am–1am, Sundays 11am–11.30pm.
